Things were looking up...

... on this sunny morning. Or perhaps I should say this woodpecker was looking up, whilst I was taking photos from the bird hide. 

It was good to watch the bird's behaviour - and I took a range of shots of this particular woodpecker on the bird feeder (see my extra).

It was worth waiting, only a few minutes, to watch where the bird went as it left the feeder. That resulted in my blip photo, where the same great spotted woodpecker was actually in the more natural setting of a tree (though | didn't see it pecking the wood of the tree).
