Binn there, done that

Almost there with the recovery…had my first unbroken night of sleep in a week. Yay!

Sticking to the isolated places only to walk the dog and headed to this place today. As expected, not another soul there, unless you count red squirrels, crows, buzzards and some other woodland bird life.

Here’s how the local newspaper described this tower:

Four-storey Binnhill Tower was built in 1815 by Francis Gray, 14th Lord Gray, of Kinfauns Castle, to serve as both an observatory and talking point in the lavish landscaped policies of his estate.

Today it’s an odd looking folly but it’s in a great spot.
