Tracy's Take on Life.

Helen. Surveying.

Another busy old day as a garden designer. First was a meeting with a client and a sports turf specialist to discuss a small putting green that we're going to include in her garden. I didn't think a photo of a sample of turf would make particularly riveting viewing.

But later in the day Helen and I went to survey a clients garden - the first phase of the design process. It's a garden in the Trinity area of Edinburgh, the client wants a lovely modern garden that she can use day and night - to relax, cook and hang out in. We measure everything within an inch of it's life to make sure my design drawings are as accurate as possible.

For a change it didn't rain. It wasn't windy and the sun came out. All good ingredients for spending hours in a garden with bits of paper and tape measures.

So here's Helen. Using the yardstick to measure the height of the folding doors. I'm too much of a shortie to reach up there with a tape measure but luckily the surveying equipment did the trick.

Maybe not the most exciting photo, but pretty much typified what happened to me today.
