Monkey Puzzle Tree and cone

Up to Leamington Spa to attend a meeting of an association we are members of at a very nice conference centre with attractive grounds.

At one side was this Monkey Puzzle tree with daffodils around it, and I was fascinated by its cones lying all around the base (see second blip).  Apparently they are endangered in Chille because of logging.
