Lizard food...

Before he went to meet his maker in the belly of a Leopard Ghecko I decided to grab a quick shot of this little beastie. Since the weather's been filthy all day I was in grave danger of faltering in my aim of a pic a day at the 2nd hurdle, not good. So, with the Sigma 105mm Macro lens on the D90 I quickly set this up.

I've not had a major amount of experience in this type of stuff but I was fairly pleased with the outcome. A brown cricket is such a dull insect it looked much better in black and white.

Next investment will no doubt have to be a ring flash as I'm getting a taste of this close up stuff!
