A Family Reunion

I have had a great day today, the highlight being meeting up with my lovely cousin Karen. We haven't seen each other in 30+ years so you can imagine we had lots to talk about!! She lives in Southampton and was coming over to South Wales to pick up her daughter who was holidaying up in Aberbeeg. So she got in touch with me via facebook to see if there was any chance of us meeting up. Thankfully I wasn't working today so we arranged to meet in Magor which was 2 junctions before she needed to leave the M4 at junction 23a to head up to Aberbeeg.
So I googled to find a nice pub near Magor services and found the Golden Lion in Magor itself, and what a find it was! A really homely pub which served a delicious lunch which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be heading back there again for a meal.
It was sooo lovely to see Karen again and share lots about our families. We definitely won't be leaving it another 30+ years before we meet again. Distance needn't be a barrier, and as an Eastender would say.....faaamily is faaaamily!!! (Cockney accent!!!)
