¡Las tortugas están despiertas!

There was a quantity of barking emanating from the bottom of the garden today. Not as much as yesterday when the dogs accosted a postman who was afraid to come through the gate - that was off the decibel scale. I went to investigate and found all 10 adult tortoises fresh out of wherever they’d been dug in for months, and all very hungry. One tried to bite my shoe but I fobbed him off with a handful of weeds, of which there’s a plentiful supply, before going to get lettuce and fruit. Looks like the fresh. grocery shop is going to increase.
