Now to most of you, I bet this shot this doesn't look very remarkable.

To those of you who cycle in Aberdeen, take a closer look and see what you can see.

Yes indeed - new cycle lane markings on Oldmeldrum Road outside the Post Office in Bucksburn at the Northern end of the soon to be opened Auchmill Road shared use path! OK, the path isn't ideal - there are 10 "Slow" and 11 "Give way" signs painted along the Auchmill and its just the pavement becoming shared use so it weaves round bus stops and the surface isnt great. It will be a boon to any would be cycle commuters who don't feel up to riding the Auchmill, but you'll still need to cross the Haudigain. I think its being extended on the Gt. Northern Rd side too and, there's even a Toucan crossing, which I haven't spotted yet.
