Spring blossom

By this afternoon, I'd had enough! I decided to take an hour off work and get some fresh air.

It was a lovely Spring day as is has been for the last few days. Not! :-(

So taking anything other than a macro shot was impossible. I spied this blossom and set to, taking what I hoped would be a reasonable shot.

Hmph!!

That took a while, no tripod, blossom above my head and a breeze!

I've no idea what it is? It's very small. Each flower head is less than 1cm across and I'm sure it's not hawthorn - any ideas anyone??

It's just very pretty and made the gloom disappear, just for a little while...
