Lungwort or Pulmonaria

Lungwort seems like a strange name for this pretty little plant. It showed up in our front yard unexpectedly, but it behaves itself, so it gets to stay. Thanks, Anni, for keeping the Flower Friday challenge going.

I took this photo quickly as we were leaving to pick up Ron and his wife to take them near the airport. They are leaving for Hawaii early tomorrow, so they are staying at a hotel near the airport tonight. We went out to dinner; it was a delightful evening. Hawaii is their happy place, so they are excited about their coming weeks in Hawaii.; The doctors cleared Ron for a month of "freedom" to travel. Ron's new Oncologist told him that his cancer is likely to return, but it could be in months rather than days; he expects that Ron will continue to do okay for a while, but next year may be challenging. Of course, nothing is certain, but it is better than a doctor telling him, "get your affairs in order". 

I hope everyone is healthy and appreciating every day as a gift.  Find ways to be kind each and every day.
