unexpected beach birds

This morning I saw the Red-shouldered hawk being harassed by some crows. And this evening I heard terrible screeching and then saw these two Lilac-crowned parrots. They are not fighting but rather grooming each other.
Really all I was expecting were some gulls and pelicans!
