World Book Day

In time, I hope our grandchildren will grow to appreciate books like these. At the moment, their shelf presence is “boring” to them when contrasted with their contemporary paperback and hardback descendants. Hopefully, in time, they will explore these books too?

We were privileged to collect our two from school this afternoon among an imaginative sea of World Book Day characters! Their teachers had made a great effort too. A very happy day!

Earlier I had dental appointment at the hospital to review a long running pesky tooth issue.

The day ended with a late night voluntary shift. A new temporary footbridge has been installed over the road beside the race course as the build up for Cheltenham Race Week proceeds apace.
