Quiet day catching up with laundry, cooking doggy beef stew and hummus with roasted red pepper.

Yesterday the Polonia club issued a message on social media to STOP donations of items as their transport to Poland was full with supplies for Ukraine's refugees.  People have rallied to help. 

A Ukrainian social media page has video clips of putative Russian soldiers as prisoners of war contacting their mothers in Russia on basic mobile phones.  Their exchange highlights that they weren't on 'military exercises' as informed by commanders, Russians are the 'aggressor', to inform: unit commanders that they are POWs being well-treated and the Russian people that there is no war but a Russian invasion on a peaceful nation.  

I cannot envisage Putin respecting diplomatic solutions.  Sadly.
