Humberto The Great Blue Heron

A local artist in Harlingen crafted this out of trash he removed from the Gulf of Mexico at South Padre Island. He has founded a non-profit called Washed Up Texas  to raise awareness of the plastic pollution in the waters of our planet. If you look at this in full size, you may be shocked at the things that washed up. This sculpture is on display in the baggage claim area of the Harlingen airport so anyone passing through cannot miss seeing it!
