The Nick of time.

Very good that we got the roof of the shed repaired yesterday as today it’s been raining all day.
We used the excuse of the rotten weather to see The Duke at the cinema this afternoon. Excellent central performances from Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent as you would expect. Some good supporting performances too. It’s based on a true story which I’m just a bit too young to have clocked at the time. Entertaining, but for me it doesn’t quite capture Newcastle in the 1960s (I knew it in the early 1970s) or the Geordie character.
I hope the weather perks up soon.
