Raven

I cycled out to Rerwick and it was pretty windy, even for the ebike, but sunny. I heard my forst singing skylarks of the spring, three over the Tankerness fields. Ravens are among the earliest of breeders here and this bird may have been scouting for a nest-site or a mate to move into one. I still miss the raven that used to live on Marwick Head and which would land on the cliff-top a few metres away and allow great portrait opps.
