I took this picture from the golf course.  The mushroom cloud is really smoke from the burning of the sugar cane fields nearby.
The interesting part is that they burn the fields BEFORE they harvest the cane.  The fire gets rid of all the bugs and 90% of the chaff.  All that's left after the fire are the stalks which is what is wanted anyway.
