Tulips from Morningside

If yesterday was spring, today we are back in winter with a chilly east wind and a feel temperature of 2°. Oh well, you win some , you lose some and I did win almost a month’s coffee money on NS&I today. I often wonder who it is that wins the big bucks that would allow you to change your lifestyle.

I hobbled up to the chiropodist this morning to moan about my sore foot which is causing me grief to walk. She thought it possibly tendinitis or arthritis and an X-ray of my big toe joint might be a good idea- as it that’s going to happen on the NHS anytime soon even if I thought it worthwhile to try. Anyway she strapped up my foot in the special tape that I’ve seen athletes have on their calves which apparently gives a better blood supply to the area. I would have preferred the blue tape for aesthetic reasons but I got black. It hasn’t worked it’s magic yet as I sit with a bag of frozen peas wrapped round the offending foot.
