Day trip to Point Reyes Station
As you can see from the blip, this little seaside town — the shopping and eating mecca for the whole West Marin area — is almost terminally cute. But it made for a very pleasant day trip, with a lunch of oysters and clam chowder at Tony’s Seafood, overlooking Tomales Bay. The friends who invited us on the jaunt were absolutely right to insist on a weekday: no crowds, and the sense of playing hooky from work, made for a lovely afternoon.
