Gracing the moss and lichen

A beautiful day to welcome the new month, the start of meteorological spring, St David’s Day and pancake day of course.
We took Joe down to Strichen Park for a walk. They’re making very good progress I think in “tidying up” after the storms. They have a few perpetual bonfires going on to get rid of some of the smaller branches and it was surprising to see some small birds perching on the branches there. Perhaps they were hoping for some toasted insects!
P.S Has the dog in the extra the right idea!
