Green Fingers
An outing to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal (near Ripon) today - a glorious sunny spring day. Walked a total of 6.2 miles….roughly three each in the morning and afternoon…
This little scene caught my eye - the vivid green moss covered tree roots snaking down into a valley with the brown leaves hanging on a tree catching the light and a carpet of brown behind. I have added an extra of one of the follies - unusual as it is rarely seen without people around it, also in the sunshine with the door open!! Also added another extra of one of the (six) bridges on the ‘seven bridges’ walk!!
Popped into a garden centre tearoom on the way home for tea and cake - undoing all the good work of the walk!!
