Bobby, Charlee and Debs
I should have got Allegra in the pic as well, to make it ABCD! One of those days with myriad potential blips: the view of Naomi's room from outside as I left Queen's; the mosque on Cowley Road I was parked outside; the same mural Arachne blipped yesterday; the roti from Chaiiwala; the crêpe from Bicester Shopping Village; my Alfa on a ramp via CCTV as I had the rear tyres replaced by the friendly and genuine Abdul from Afghanistan (via Pakistan, USA, Germany and France!), having discovered a screw embedded in one...
Lovely tea (prepared by Paul once more) with most of the Lyden / Wilson household, complete with Lebanese wine. Intended to stay up chatting and imbibing but was just too tired after my weekend exertions, so took the sensible choice for a change and had an early night (though as usual I'm awake again now, 2am... - having finished the entertaining Royal Jelly by Roald Dahl in about 15 installments, it's on to his William and Mary story to put me to sleep tonight...).
Managed to get a great deal on two merino jumpers at Charles Tyrwhitt which were exactly what I wanted for going under my jacket I wear for shows... but I have to say that it was probably the only shop at the Bicester shopping village I could have bought anything at all in, even if I had £100s or £1000s to spend... designer gear just doesn't suit me! Also, whereas I feel relaxed and comfortable with my down-to-earth rich car-owning customer, I looked around me at the shopping village and couldn't spot anyone I felt I'd be able to relate to - they all seemed unapproachable (my imagination, perhaps), and I pride myself on being able to chat with anyone from any walk of life...
My other comment on the day is the strangeness of choosing two different "pancakes" today, and only just now (via blip of course!) realising it's pancake day tomorrow!!
