Ready
I met some friends on the wharf for our annual birthday lunch. The food wasn't that great, but you can't beat the setting--a window table with a view of the lighthouse, the immense blue sky, and an ocean that doesn't quit. We had a fine old time catching up, and took a stroll to get some gelato from one of the tourist places afterward. Although we felt safe enough to eat indoors by an open door, this image is from one of the Covid-necessitated outdoor venues that have sprung up everywhere. Each place has its own interpretation, from very upscale and permanent to the quick and dirty version with a few portable tables and a couple of bollards. When you're dealing with the ocean, the wind can come up pretty fast, but that doesn't seem to deter anyone, especially on the weekends.
