Fallen Angel

Yesterday the first flower opened on a Camelia that I planted last autumn.  This morning it was lying on the ground next to the plant, perhaps dislodged by a cat.   It's kept me company on the living room table as I've worked through calls and admin today.   Quite a few ticks on the list.

The day started with a lovely catch-up with a good friend at Kings cafe.  We parted before the rain really set in but by the time I'd sorted a few work related things, it was raining nicely and I got rather wet walking down to the post office before returning home.

Clara is home safely and we've worked out how the three of us plus the dogs will get to Birmingham on Wednesday.  We won't all fit in the car (two wheelchairs and heaps of luggage) so Jamie's going by train.   Much confusion booking assistance as it's not possible to book it for the rail replacement bus part of the trip.   This is a concern as unlike the trains, there is only space for one wheelchair.   If two turn up, a taxi should be arranged for one of them but how that will happen when the change takes place at an unmanned station is anybody's guess.   As It happens, we have a friend who drives the buses, his advice to ring the bus company ourselves will be first job on the list tomorrow.

Life is never dull.

They can put that on my gravestone!
