This small stream was gushing today after heavy rain. It flows through Crow wood and usually I am there with a small boy , small dog or both in tow. Today I walked past , by myself, on the way to the shops . A long detour but worth it .
Tomorrow is our small boy’s third birthday and his parents plus both sets of grandparents are off on adventure to The Blue Planet Aquarium.
The highlight of this extremely rainy day was that my dad and I managed to see each other on a screen. The connection was too poor for a conversation but at least we saw one another. He knows that he hasn’t seen his daughters for some time and it makes him worried . My brothers explain but he doesn’t retain it. It is very cruel that , despite the abandoning of covid measures , we still can’t have proper contact with those we love in care homes.
