Bedtime Reading

It's a wonder I don't have nightmares. My reading list these days has been covering the black plague in the Middle Ages, which led me to 'discover' Boccaccio's The Decameron. Then there's Pox Americana, and I was disgusted to find out how much of the Revolutionary War was left out of my history courses in high school and college.

No, I am not auditing any history courses. This is what I consider fun or light reading. I certainly get strange looks from people in the break room or when I read outside. Although, reading about the Tudors is MUCH better than any Harlequin-type romance. The Tudors had it ALL, especially Henry VIII. That is enough to make anyone raise their eyebrows.

Speaking of the Tudors, the more I read about Queen Elizabeth, the more I admire her. She was such a strong-willed woman for her times and honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing more women like her.
