An Avid Lensman

Late In the Evening...

Very late, midnight...

Good company with Jonny (owner of the Triumph Herald 'Hark the Herald' Blip) his wife, Texan burgers and banana bread (all homemade by their daughter and her friend, who was staying).

Lord of the Rings 'Two Towers' DVD that got stopped and started and then finally aborted for good after only an hour as phones got answered, texts sent, food got checked and people dropped by. Then checks on ebay as the daughter is studying textiles at Uni in London and is chasing after a good cheap professional sewing - or was it knitting?? - machine - I'm sure she'd forgive me; it'd be a bit like me saying something to her about me buying something photographic.

The living room, where this fire was blazing (yes, MID-APRIL!, miserable very heavy rainy and cold night) had remnants and fabric samples everywhere and there was a cat asleep on one the piles. This pic was not arranged whatsoever, all the fireside tools as they were, as were the tongs. I took it from the sofa!

Cosy, chaotic, lovely, good to have understanding friends and such a pity that these evenings happen so seldom.

Music - there could only be one : you'll have to find out!

Thanks to all who helped get my 'Bike Shop' blip into the Spotlight, found it there on my return tonight. A lovely surprise and the cream on the cake, so to speak.

Lens is the only one I took, Nikkor D 50mm f1.4. Don't forget to linger on those flames on large 'L' key.
