Barriers
Another day of tension and attempts to cross or defend barriers. Barbed wire featured heavily in WW1 but did not prevent shelling and gas attacks. Nowadays the threat is potentially much more severe and the news out of Moscow has ramped tension up a few more degrees.
On a happier note we had a joint service at church bringing together the family and the more traditional services, led by some of our young people. All very good and it was followed by a “pancake breakfast”. It was a chance to get together and chat, something which is still a rare event. Extras show the food n display; and a photo of a New Orleans King Cake, often eaten around Mardis Gras. (A bit like a charm in a Christmas pudding, getting the figurine is meant to be lucky.)
