T-Wood and Caerketton Craigs

A very cold but right morning. It's not stormy, so a morning bike ride with sun and blue skies. Not having done a hilly ride, the climb out of Auchendinny is a bit slower than usual. I manage to get up the hill eventually, and head on to the Moffat road for a wee while. At Whim, I head on to the Shiplaw road to Eddleston. This road still has some ice and snow patches, but it is fine to cycle over them. Once at the Peebles road, I head home via Leadburn and Penicuik. The SE wind is pushing me home, which feels really nice. Bonaus is getting to the Hillend junction on the A703 with no traffic. 50.2km in total

Ride can be seen at Relive here.

A nice walk to Swanston in the afternoon with my partner. It feels much warmer than the morning, heading into double digits and sunshine. Springlike. Blip is taken from just above the village. From there, we take the east loop route. Extra is of the Ochil Hills, which are a wee bit higher than the Pentlands, so have a wee bit more snow.

Eldest son and fiancée come around for afternoon coffee and chat. I haven't seen them since just before Christmas, so it's a sort of Merry February Christmas meet up, with the exchange of presents, and news about the wedding in May.
