A bright day for the resumption of Alex's football. After dropping him off, She arrived with the hound and after a tour of Muirhouse, She walked off to mine and I took up my fatherly duties of watching Alex's team lose 3-1 (they anhilated the opposition but couldn't score - rusty after nearly 3 months without a game)
Home for lunch (roast chicken and an Ottloenghi cabbage and potato gratin) before both boys went out - Alex to meet Teodor to 'do Polish shopping' (which I htink was code for hanging with his mates at the playing fields) and Tom met up with his friend. I took advantage of the peace to accompany Her to Morrisons and see her onto a bus home.
The sunshine was pleasant but not warm enough to justify the guy with his shirt off who was walking his dog on the wasteland behind the museum store...!
The Caribao Cup final rounded off the day.(the boys strangely made it home in time for an engaging 0-0 darw; Alex was delighted with the eventual outcome when Kepa skied the 22nd spot kick).
