Did it!

Well. I made it to my 1st big blipday and I have to say it's been a blast having to take a photo every day. Thanks to everyone through the year for their comments and encouragement. It's a pleasure to be part of the Blipfoto community.

I had to finish the year with a light painting shot. This is Clackmannan Tower for those that don't know. I struggled to write the 365 with my torch, but I think you can just make it out.

I was joined by 4 local lads for a while. They hadn't seen me and I shined my monster 3 zillion lumens Lenser torch at them from a dark corner of the field, just intending to say hello, and they took fright and ran away. Five minutes later they came back timidly, so I walked up to speak to them. "Don't you find it scary here at night?" one of them said. "Not really" I replied wanting to rip the piss out of them for being such a bunch of fearties, but there were 4 of them so I thought better of it. Anyway, they hung around for a bit, but obediently turned their torch off while I was taking pictures. I must look a bit scary when I creep up to people next to an ancient monument in the dark.

Anyway, onwards and upwards - 730 blips is the next milestone and I'll try and keep up taking a picture every day. If I get there I'll write "730" in 10ft high numbers on Eilean Donan Castle - It's high time someone defaced that photographic cliche ;-)
