Just a hoot

I spent the evening owl spotting at my favourite place. The marshes at Parkgate on the Wirral, Cheshire. Not too many years ago ships used to pull up to the quay. But now it's marsh land as far as the eye can see which is perfect for the numerous bird life. Including these short eared owls.
