Finally the appointment

Alice came with me to the hospital to see the consultant.

The good news is there is some hope for pain relief, he is going to give me two nerve block injections, one into the nerve root of L5 and 6 weeks later one into the nerve root of S1.

The bad news is, I have at least 4 months to wait! That's 10 months of waiting and could be more.
