Warming up at Redhill Stud , Kildare ( in the wind decimated jump arena) waiting to go in for my second biomechanics lesson. Daisy had been squealing and snorting like crazy at the horses as they flew around the fields beside so my wonderful friend, Julie gave her a quick lunge and the shenanigan settled v quickly . Brilliant lesson involving peanut balls under my bum , wrist bands that made me feel “cuffed” ( can’t tell you how I know how that feels)!! And sponges under my feet in the stirrups. All these exercises culminated in us getting the correct canter leads and with super transitions too. I was and still am over the moon :0)
Just as well as it took 5 hours out of my day, there was a lot of travelling and had to take it handy with the trailer due to the gusty wind. You gotta love your pony and riding a lot to get excited about this stuff - maybe I’m high up on an ‘equine spectrum’!?!
Day was rounded off with Jenny and Gearoid over for a roast dinner, laughs and pink cava to celebrate .
