My namesake looking good this morning.

It was a beautiful gift for my birthday at the beginning of February.
I planted it in a large pot which used to belong to my dad, who loved gardening. (Another hellebore in extras)
It’s a beautiful sunny morning with a clear blue sky. Albeit with another stiff cold breeze.
Just had a croissant and pain au chocolat with a mug of fresh ground coffee, whilst sitting well wrapped up in the summerhouse, as the sun streams through the windows.
It will warm up as the sun gradually moves round to the south.
I can hear church bells, their sound carrying on the wind.
And people all over the world will be remembering those in Ukraine today. I hope that national leaders and governments, can unite in working towards solutions which will result in the withdrawal of Russian troops before this whole conflict becomes even more bloody.
The courage of the Ukrainian President is self evident, as are images and accounts of Ukrainians themselves confronting Russian troops. They are shocking and heartbreaking.
I have no more words as I watch a blackbird bathing in a large saucer of water by the summerhouse door. My heart is heavy.
