Matty
We have seen this cat in the garden occasionally but we don't know where it lives - or even whether it is a boy or a girl.
It's a very attractive, long-haired cat but at the weekend we noticed that it had grown an extra tail. We're very curious so we tempted it with a bowl of Hazel's leftovers 'til it came close enough for a good look.
Of course, it hasn't really got an extra tail but a great lump of matted hair which has been dragged off its flank, sticking out at the side, leaving a baldy patch. It seems to have had a similar event on its neck, too, which is a bit sore.
We discussed it with the vet while we were there today (Bramble's scratchy ears are lots better) but, unfortunately, we don't have any authority to act upon the situation. Matty might need sedation while the mat is removed.
So, if this is your cat we have one thing to say:- SORT THE POOR BEAST OR WE'LL CALL THE SSPCA.
Thanks.
