Here there and everywhere

Roots

A busy day with 2 x 3 hour shifts, back to back, of Aptis testing on the new platform for the Japanese market. Worked from 10 till 4pm with a few little 5 min breaks. There were lots of teething problems as this was the first shift of the 3-day marathon. We didn't know where to click to see the questions, then couldn't see where to give the mark, some people couldn't get sound, others kept getting kicked out of the system. The Microsoft Teams back channel for support was very necessary!   One of the assistant examining managers then made a Screencast of what to click where - invaluable - and much more useful than the 1hr training we had using slides! By that time though, I'd managed to work it out (but was stressed), but I was able to send it to my friend in NZ, who was joining in the next round of shifts. It must have been the stress and adrenalin, but I was unbelievably tired afterwards.  This all seems so trivial, given what's happening in Ukraine. The lovely person who made the Screencast video is Romanian and lives there. So close to it all.

Dinner at our local Chinese. The lady owner knows about our blips, always asks about them, and presented me with a plant with interesting roots to photograph when she knew I didn't have anything. Here it is, with a filter added. It'll do. It was that or my next again!
