Dunkeld

Friday

We walked into town for our breakfast at Nero. Although it was sad when leaving as met and comforted a lady who recently lost her husband to cancer aged 49, and it was her first trip out to Nero where they both used to go. I felt so sad for her as she spoke to us. Hadn’t met her before but spent time speaking to her and hearing her story.

Such a gorgeous day we decided to have a drive to Dunkeld for another walk and a scone afterwards in Palmerstons. Lo and behold the chief admin from the vaccine centre was there so had a chat with her. The next door shop is an amazing bakery so popped in there for one of their amazing pies/sausage rolls and they asked us if we wanted free scones as they were closing and they would be chucked out. Of course we told them and they are now cut up and in the freezer as they are massive.

Looking at the peaceful ambiance of this picture it’s hard to imagine the horrors of life for the people of Ukraine as we enjoy our freedom, everyday folks like me are queuing up for AK 47 rifles to defend themselves from that power hungry piece of dirt. Or fleeing for their lives with only a small case not knowing if they will ever return to their homes.
