Bird Food

My daughter has a large pear tree dropping a lot of windfall fruit at the moment. Another friend had the same of apples. Today I spent some hours chopping and coring apples and pears, cooking them, then freezing the mix. This is valuable food base for a lot of our birds. Kereru especially love the sweet mix.
