Male And Female

I took MrQ to Doe's of Fyfield this morning to get some spare parts for his chain saws. (Eek!) Two rotund, young, rough-and-ready men absolutely loved Ollie dog and she loved them. I took to them too.

Afterwards we called at Smith's Seafood Stand for fishy delights. I asked the jocular guy serving if he ever gets goose barnacles. He replied, I used to but I'm fine now. Lol. He's going to ask about them when he goes to market. They're a great delicacy, I'd like to try them.

I went down the field intending to capture female hazel flowers in the late afternoon light. I got lots of shots of them but when I looked at the above image of a catkin that I had snapped I was surprised to see a female hazel flower in the pic.
