OPEN

The day started well with a lovely video call with Daughters #1 (who was having a special birthday in Australia) and #2.

Later however, I had a fairly frustrating visit to the "shopping centre" in town, the first in I-can't-remember-how-long. All the shops I wanted to go to were closed, as in Saturday-afternoon-closed, although there were also a very large number of permanently closed shops too. Christ Church, now an Art Gallery, was open but they seemed to be in the process of dismantling some of the exhibits and the café was closing up, so not very conducive to a relaxing browse. The monthly market in the Museum car park wasn't very tempting either. I think it was just me - I got home feeling tired and grumpy and very much in need of a bacon sarnie.
