Funny old day!

I was sent to an 'all-through' school today, which has students from Reception to Sixth Form (i.e. Kindergarten to 12th grade) and spent most of the day with Year 3 (aged 7/8) and Year 6 (aged 10/11) kids. It was my first experience of working in a primary school and was fun but relentless. I survived, despite having to deal with a constant barrage of crying children ('He said...', 'She said...', 'He did..., 'She did...', etc), continual farty noises and my getting hit in the face with a ball in PE. Hats off to UkuleleHayley, who chooses to do this for a living and is absolutely brilliant at it!  :-DDD

In one of the classrooms there were four (of what I think were) 'Giant Prickly Stick Insects'. They all had names but the only one I can remember is 'Groot'. I've put a wider view in the 'extras', to show just how well-camouflaged they were!
