The Battle of Cable Street

A wonderful mural commemorating the Battle of Cable Street in 1936 when 250,000 East Enders adopting the Spanish Civil War slogan “they shall not pass” prevented Oswald Mosley and his brown shirt fascists from marching through their streets.
