A relative scorcher today! I love the way we celebrate the slightest hint of warmth in this country by congregating round water and just feeling good :o)

Tomorrow Catherine is going into hospital to have a benign brain tumour removed. It's a straightforward operation and it's not in a tricky place to get to, but it is what it is and it'll be a difficult day for her and me, her family and everyone who knows her.

Relatively speaking, if you *have* to have a brain tumour then this is the one to have. That sounds so glib. It's not meant to be.

p.s. can you tell I was distracted today? I left the bloody ISO at 640!
