Spiced up!

As the time ticks closer to midnight blippers all over the world start mooching around the house, ferreting around for something to photograph. Loved ones don't realise what's going on, what's up? they ask, have you lost something? Then the penny drops and they suddenly have to rush off to do something urgent.

I had intended to get another portrait of Mr E before he goes back to Uni. But I was lazy and thought I'd do it later. Then later never came. When will I learn - always blip the moment the opportunity arises - there may never be a "later"!

So this is the corner of the kitchen, where we keep the herbs, spices, knives, special tools and the cooking booze. It's this little collection that makes all the difference to the Bolognese or the Chilli. It gives me a lot of pleasure to go through a recipe and discover we actually have the ingredients already!
