Beautiful avocets to celebrate 100 blips!

A day of bits and pieces today .. firstly I had to go to the doctor's and get fitted with a BP monitor which I have to keep on for 24 hours. It's horrid and I have to 'sleep' in it - I doubt there will be much sleeping going on though.

This afternoon I went to the VW main dealer (I have a pathological dislike of main dealers - I find them smarmy and sycophantic - and very expensive!). They lived up to expectations, but at least the van's up and running for a bit longer.

Then I scuttled off to North Cave Wetlands for a bit of R&R. I took hundreds of photos of a herring gull trying to crack a tennis ball! He just wouldn't give up! Here he is ..

But in the end, I decided to post a photo of avocets - beautiful birds!
