A Sad Day

In researching what items are symbolic of Ukraine, I discovered that finding a spider on a Christmas tree is considered to be good luck, and a tradition that dates back to the late 1800s. Spider ornaments, like this one, are now commonly seen dangling from holiday trees • I found this image online and added special effects to satisfy my daily blip entry • I’ve been glued to CNN off and on all morning and am awaiting President Biden’s address at 1230pm EST • Seeing people huddled in mass in underground train stations clinging to their children, pets, and loved ones, not knowing what’s going to happen next, with limited provisions in-hand, is just heartbreaking • It’s a very concerning situation and the potential implications are enormous. United we must stand! • Thinking of the people of Ukraine, and Russia.
