Dead Ent Job

These two took the best part of a day to dig up. My own private deforestation - that privet hedge just has to go. They were lurking there after years of being all woody and not much in the leaf department.

Unfortunately there are a dozen more to go: privet Ents stick together and they've more disparate roots than Al Qaeda. Armed only with a spade, fork and two-handed lopper it will be a labour of Hercules if these two are anything to go by. Tolkein has a lot to answer for.
