Sculpture with a view

Driving back to coast from Sierra Nevada yesterday my husband recognised the town of Salobreña. It’s a typical white-washed Spanish village perched on a hill with a Moorish Castillo on the top!

Thank goodness he was driving - the twisty narrow streets gave no margin for error! There was a wonderful viewpoint at the top dedicated to the singer Enrique Morente. Not sure who he was (think he was famous for singing flamenco) but I loved this sculpture and dedication: ‘freedom is the art of living!’
