The Folly
Quick blip today while shopping in Settle.
Built in the late 1670s by local lawyer Richard Preston, The Folly's unusual exterior dominates the centre of Settle and was described by Nicholas Pevsner as 'exotic', 'capricious' and 'wilful'! Now the home of the Museum of North Craven Life, The Folly hosts both permanent and temporary exhibitions that tell the story of North Craven, its landscape and people.
